Because Jesse’s father is an architect and designed hospitals for a living, Jesse began his career in architecture at an early age. Following his father to his project sites and sitting at his dad’s drafting table designing houses until he left for Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. Jesse excelled in college and won awards such as project of the year and was published in national magazines. During his educational years, Jesse worked in Portland, Oregon at a large firm named Zimmer Gunsul Frasca, New York City at a medium sized firm named STUDIOS Architecture and in Saint Joseph, Michigan at a small firm named Keystone Designs.
Jesse worked at Keystone Designs for 8 years and completed many projects as the lead designer for the company until he chose to start a new venture named Hibler Design Studio in 2005.
Jesse works on many types of projects ranging from luxury residences to the design of new towns and communities. He has participated in projects in Indiana, Illinois, Maryland and Texas as well as in Bolivia, South America and Guyana, South America.
During his free time, Jesse enjoys traveling and photo-documenting architecture around the world and spending his time with his wife Jennifer. He regularly participates in pro-bono work in various locations as he feels that it is important to give back to those in need.
